TYLOSIN INJECTION 20% Veterinary
Each 1ml contains:: Tylosin Tartrate(Equivalent to Tylosin base
The product is a yellow clear liquid.
Tylosin is thought to have the same mechanism of action as
erythromycin (binds t0 50S ribosome and inhibits
protein Synthesis) and exhibits a similar spectrum of activity. It
is cteriostatic antibiotic. For more specific
information on organisms that tylosin is usually active against,
refer to the erythromycin monograph just prior
to this one. Cross resistance with erythromycin Occurs.
Mainly used in the treatment of infection caused by mycoplasma and
gram-positive bacterium,such as chronic respiralory disease and
Infectious sinusitis, mycoplasma pneumonia and
mycoplasmal arthritis in swine.Also treats shipping fever,
pneumonia, foot rot, calf diphtheria cattle.Treats
pasteurella pneumonia and acute dysentery caused by treponema
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Swine and Poultry: Inject IM 5- 13 mg/kg of body weight twice
daily. Treatment should be continued 24
hours after symptoms of the disease have stopped, not to exceed 3
days. Do not inject more than 5 mL per

1. Do not use in lactating dairy cattle and laying hens. A
